Call Forwarding Scams: Check Your Phone for Hidden Call Redirects

This video shows how scammers trick people into dialling a short code, often starting with * or #, that quietly forwards their calls to another number. It explains why this matters: forwarded calls can let a criminal receive voice verification calls meant for you and try to get into your accounts. You will learn to treat any caller, message or "prize" that asks you to type a code into your keypad as a red flag, and to hang up. The tutorial walks through checking your call forwarding settings in the Phone settings on iPhone and Android, and explains how to ask your mobile provider to confirm nothing is redirected. It finishes with what to do if you find a forward you did not set up: switch it off, tell a trusted adult, contact your provider, and change the passwords on important accounts.
